ARTISTS' LABEL
As every year for four years now, the new vintage comes with a gift for enthusiasts: a limited edition with artist's labels. Over time, the project was carried out by young, talented illustrators such as Valeria Petrone, Davide Bonazzi and Giordano Poloni, each with drawings inspired by the classic summer atmosphere of the rosé.
RAINBOW IS UNDERESTIMATED
This year features yet another new artist, but with a bold new challenge: to entrust the special edition to a photographer, Piero Percoco, who transformed the labels into photographic portraits of intimate moments in Puglia: the heat, the sea and the summer. Percoco, born in Sannicandro di Bari 31 years ago, well known for his project "The Rainbow is Underestimated",was so successful with his photos that he has also been mentioned by major publications including the New Yorker.
THE PROJECT
At the center of every Tormaresca shot, like the monolith of 2001 Space Odyssey, features a bottle of Calafuria. The artist Percoco plays with high and low, highlighting the irony of the glossy world of rosé and the glamorous image conquered by Puglia in recent years,and immersing the bottle in scenes of everyday life and hyperrealistic characters: friends a little weighed down in a swimsuit on the waterfront, an elderly man hitting the seaside showers, the tablecloth of his grandmother, a masked swimmer.
BETWEEN REFINEMENT AND AUTHENTICITY
With bright colors, dazzling blue skies and a wealth of exposed summer skin, without the glamour of the magazines, but instead that of ordinary people, Rainbow restores a rarefied and eternal image of the South where everyday life becomes almost all-embracing .
ABOUT CALAFURIA
An expression of the Negroamaro grapes grown on the Masseria Maìme estate in San Pietro Vernotico in Salento, it is one of Tormaresca's most prized gems. TheApulianpropertiesoftheAntinorifamily,throughitsestates,embodiesthe two souls of Apulia: that of the almost lunar landscape of the Murge, with Bocca di Lupo in Minervino; in contrast with that of the lush vineyards bordered by woods and olive groves lost to the horizon until merging into the sea in San Pietro Vernotico, between Brindisi and Lecce.
